Marc spent his childhood in the Alps, surrounded by lakes and forests, which deeply influenced his work. Nature plays a significant role in his books. It is often depicted as vast, rich, and colorful, always serving as a source of wonder or a refuge. He has written and illustrated several books, including \u003ci\u003eBridges, \u003c\/i\u003e\u003ci\u003eParks, \u003c\/i\u003eand \u003ci\u003eButterfly Child\u003c\/i\u003e, which has been translated into more than ten languages. Using mostly paint or ink to create his illustrations, Marc's style is characterized by sweeping strokes and bright colors.
