About this item
by Phil Webster (Author)
1776 Delmarva shows the outworking of the American Revolution on the Delmarva Peninsula and the contributions of Delmarva to the Continental Army in securing freedom for the new nation. Many have the misconception nothing happened on the Delmarva Peninsula during the American Revolution, however, every community fought during the struggle for independence. Soldiers from Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia played a huge role in the Continental Army in battles in the North and South. The ten-year struggle for independence happened on Delmarva itself. 1776 Delmarva is a story of Tench Tilghman, book about John Dickinson, story of Robert Morris, book about William Richardson, story of Robert Kirkwood, book about Allan McLane, story of Enoch Anderson, book about Levin Winder, story of Alexander Roxburgh, book about John Gunby, story of Southey Simpson, book about John Haslet, and story of Lambert Wickes.
