Baruch Tegegne was born in 1944 in Wozaba, Ethiopia, a remote Jewish hillside village. At age eleven, he was sent to study in Israel. At nineteen he returned to Ethiopia and worked as an agro-mechanic, and later bought his own farm, where he and his family prospered...until the Revolution in 1974, when life became unbearable for them. His harrowing escape to Israel took Baruch three years, traveling by land, sea and air to get to the Promised Land.
