About this item

by Simon Tyrrell (Author)

'A book of fascinations. Of poems as enthusiasms, that happened, in time, once ago, and now have expanded into permanence. For what else is a book but this in fact?

Presently is a significant debut for British poetry, or rather for those interested in a British poetry of expanse, which can carry the potential of the performative, the visual, the conceptual and the lyrical, together. Together being the operative word.

A volume that breaks ground for the poem score as an idea, calling to David Antin as readily as Ian Hamilton Finlay. A book of the future then, but made of autodidacticism, of research and revelation, of bountiful, communal, heartfelt, innovative poetry.'
