Unlock Your Creative Superpowers to Solve Real-World Problems.
If you look around your neighborhood, you might notice signals: a classmate without a computer or a local landmark with a forgotten history. To a STEM innovator, these aren't just small moments-they are clues about what a community needs and how you can use science and technology to help.
In this collection of true stories from real-world problem solvers, you will meet ordinary girls who:
- Master the habit of noticing signals so you can identify the "fundamental deficiencies" that need a solution
- Develop "academic grit" to master complex subjects like engine mechanics or coding so you can bridge the gap between a problem and a concrete solution
- Design for sustainability by creating portable kits or manuals so your project continues to thrive long after you are finished.
- Speak up for science by writing formal proposals to national organizations to create lasting change in how the world views STEM.
