About this item

by Jody Thomae (Author)

UPDATED!! Two NEW Sections! A simple and general resource for Christian jewelry designers, gem collectors, and all those "rock heads" who love picking up stones along the trail. Author Jody Thomae has spent several years gleaning and adapting symbolic meanings from the tales, legends and lore that surround gems and crystals-in some cases she shares the lore and legends... in other cases, the meaning and symbolism is based on its color, texture, and attributes. Stone entries also include Bible verses to accompany and enhance the symbolism and meaning. Not intended to be exhaustive or authoritative in any way--simply gleanings to enhance your rock climbing and collecting, your bead stringing and jewelry making, and perhaps... your ability to pick the perfect gem for the one you love! Enjoy the treasure hunt!!
BONUS SECTIONS ON COLOR MEANINGS IN SCRIPTURE, PRAYING WITH PRAYER BEADS and GEMS & MINERALS IN SCRIPTURE added as additional resources at the end!!
NOTE: This is NOT A GEM ENCYCLOPEDIA OR COMPREHENSIVE DIRECTORY; therefore, stone entries DO NOT include photos and geological mineral descriptions... and thus, the inexpensive price reflects that.: )
