About this item

by Ruth Russell (Author)

This is a story about peace activism. Members of Women's International League for Peace and Freedom in the South Australian Branch have a proud history. Their passionate actions show women's determination to create a more just and peaceful world. This book tells stories of the organisation, energy, knowledge and time needed to become involved in changing social, political and cultural practices of violence to practices of non-violence, peace and freedom. By sharing stories of WILPF SA members, Ruth Russell hopes to inspire more people to stand up for truth, justice and equality, so that everyone can experience peace and freedom.
